Apex Trader Funding offers futures trading evaluation accounts with multiple account sizes and platforms. Known for their flexible payout structure (100% profit split after 6th payout) and support for Rithmic, Tradovate, and WealthCharts platforms. Unfortunately, they charge activation fees. Further, they have become way way too complicated -- they have so many plans and variable rules that it is mind-boggling and very confusing to try to determine the actual rules that apply in each case. On this one, I throw up my hands at trying to write a definitive guide. We have collected what we can but recommend you do extra due diligence for any specific plan you sign up for with Apex.

Algorithmic trading fully supported. Rithmic platform specifically designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading. No restrictions on EAs or automated systems as long as they comply with general trading rules (no hedging, no exploitative strategies).

Microscalping Policy

No explicit microscalping rule; exploitative flipping/size-cycling behavior and high-frequency trading are prohibited.

VPN Policy

Prohibits VPN/proxy/cloud/anonymizing tool usage to misrepresent or conceal identity/location or to evade rules/restrictions.
