General Policies
Algorithm & EA Policy
Alpha Futures permits traders to use automated systems and bots as long as the behavior stays within the firm's prohibited-trading rules.
Alpha Futures prohibits abusive or manipulative automated behavior, including hyperactivity trading, order-stacking, latency exploitation, and other prohibited practices that distort fills or attempt to game the simulated environment.
Copy Trading
Copy trading is allowed when the same individual is executing trades across their own Alpha Futures accounts. Automated, group, and reverse trading are prohibited.
Microscalping Policy
Alpha Futures prohibits hyperactivity trading, order-stacking, and similar ultra-short-duration abusive execution tactics designed to exploit the simulated environment.
Bots Policy
Bots and automated tools are allowed only if they do not engage in prohibited trading practices such as hyperactivity trading, order stacking, latency exploitation, or other manipulative conduct.
Allowed Trading Hours
Futures trading follows 6:00 PM EST to 5:00 PM EST the next day, with all positions closed before 4:20 PM EST. Friday 5:00 PM EST to Sunday 6:00 PM EST remains closed.
Weekend Holding Policy
On Evaluation and Qualified sim accounts, trades must be closed before 4:20 PM ET each day, so overnight and weekend holding are not allowed. Alpha's published Alpha Prime live accounts do permit overnight swing holding.
Move to Live Criteria
Simulated Qualified Accounts can be reviewed for live progression after reaching the program's simulated payout thresholds. Alpha Futures states that accounts are reviewed once the maximum payable balance or payout-count threshold is achieved.
Rule Enforcement Notes
Alpha Futures reviews accounts for prohibited conduct such as group trading, reverse trading, order-book spamming, tick or micro scalping used to exploit fills, and fully automated high-frequency behavior. Violations can void profits, stop qualification progress, or terminate the trader agreement.
Refund Policy
Alpha Futures says challenge purchases are generally non-refundable once used, but if a trader passes and later cannot complete KYC, the firm says the activation fee is refunded and the balance can be withdrawn through another approved method after compliance review.
Activation Fee Policy
Standard and Advanced Qualified Accounts charge a one-time $149 activation fee. Zero Accounts have no activation fee.
VPN Policy
VPN use is permitted for normal trading access, but Alpha Futures says identity verification can be delayed or rejected if VPNs, VPSs, proxies, or masked-location tools interfere with the KYC process. Traders may also be asked for extra documents if location checks do not line up.
