I'm Dave, and together with my zen master dog Petra, we're thrilled to launch Happy Dog Trading into Beta!

A Goofy Old Guy's Trading Journey

Trading futures through prop firms has taught me more about discipline, psychology, and managing my emotional self than almost anything else in life. It has not yet made me tons of money. I'm slowly improving though. And while I may not be great at trading (yet!), I am very good at building helpful software - and that's exactly what I want to share with you.

Why Happy Dog Trading Exists

As I progressed through my trading journey, I found myself wanting better tools - specifically tools built for futures prop firm traders by futures prop firm traders. I wanted to:

  • Monitor max drawdown and profit targets
  • Track multiple accounts and their combined P&L
  • Understand my trading patterns and where I'm improving (or not!)
  • Keep an eye on prop firm concerns like microscalping and consistency rules
  • Have everything in one place instead of scattered across spreadsheets and notes

I looked around and couldn't find what I had in mind. So I built it. And now I'm sharing it with all of you - completely free!

I want to be transparent: we're in Beta which means things might not be perfect yet. You might encounter bugs, missing features, or areas that need improvement. That's actually where you come in!

I love the prop trading community - the vast majority are solid, helpful people who've already taught me so much. Now I want to give back and build something with you, not just for you.
