Shepherd
Shepherd is a free NinjaTrader AddOn built for traders who use NinjaTrader desktop as their execution platform. It captures your executions as you trade and saves them to a local database on your machine — serving as long term backup. It can also, optionally, sync that data to the Windows desktop TradeHound app on your machine, or via HappyDogTrading.com's APIs for the web and Mac TradeHound versions.
Save time on trade data
Stop exporting CSVs by hand. Shepherd captures executions automatically from the moment it's installed. It stores them in a local private database on your own machine. From there, you can optionally sync your data direct to the TradeHound app on Windows, or via our web API to TradeHound web (at HappyDogTrading.com) or the macOS TradeHound app, or to other apps.
Protect your prop firm data
When a prop firm evaluation or sim-funded phase ends — whether you pass or blow it out — your data can quickly disappear from NinjaTrader. Shepherd stores all your execution data locally and securely, so it doesn't matter if NinjaTrader's internal stores keep it or not.
One store, every account
Build a long-term record of all your trading data across every account — same prop firm, multiple accounts, different phases (evaluation, sim-funded, live-funded), different prop firms, or your own cash accounts. Protected and saved for your records and future analysis.
Easy backups
Your trade data is stored in a local SQLite database that's easy to back up, copy, or move. Export to CSV anytime for use in Excel, other trading journals, or your own analysis tools.
Works with other apps too
Your data is yours. Use Shepherd with competitor's products — we don't mind. If there's something we can do to make that easier, let us know.
